Florecer Collection
The project
I find the growth of flowers poetic, from the moment they are tiny buds with barely any petals to the end of their cycle, when they begin to fall. The life of flowers can be compared to our own: we bloom over time, and sometimes we lose our petals to make room for a new beginning.
“Florecer” is inspired by this life cycle of flowers, the movement of their leaves, the fall of their petals, and how there is beauty even in that loss. Functionally, the piece is versatile: it can be worn in different ways, by removing or adding elements so it transforms along with you.
The process
With this set, I wanted to create something vivid and dynamic, full of movement and emotion. My goal was to capture the natural energy that exists in flowers, how they grow, open, and transform over time, and translate that into a piece of jewelry that feels alive.
At the same time, I wanted it to be versatile and easy to wear, something that could adapt to different occasions. By simply removing or adding elements, the piece can shift from an expressive statement to something more subtle and casual.
Throughout the process, I explored different types of flowers and organic forms, observing the way their petals unfold, overlap, and eventually fall. These observations guided the shapes and gestures of the collection, leading to a design that celebrates imperfection, change, and movement.
The design
The design of Florecer draws directly from the life and movement of flowers. Each element is inspired by petals and leaves in motion, capturing their delicate curves and natural rhythm. The leaves are adorned with green gemstones, such as peridot or emeralds, to reflect the freshness and vitality of new growth. The other elements feature purple gemstones, like amethyst, representing elegance, depth, and the quiet beauty of transformation.
The combination of shapes, textures, and colors allows the pieces to interact with light and movement, creating a sense of life and fluidity. Each piece is designed to be versatile, offering multiple ways to wear it, so that the jewelry transforms along with the wearer.
Florecer celebrates the beauty in every stage of a flower’s life, turning its cycle of growth and change into wearable art that is both expressive and intimate.
