Bougainvillea Collection
The project
The purpose of this collaboration with Carranza & Carranza was to create a charming jewelry collection inspired by the vibrant Mexican bougainvillea. Our goal was to capture the beauty, joy, and exuberance of these iconic flowers in every piece. We wanted to offer Carranza & Carranza customers a collection that not only celebrated the richness of Mexico's lush natural landscape but also served as a tribute to the country's deep cultural heritage and traditions.
The process
We set out to design a versatile collection that included earrings, rings, and pendants, each reflecting the grace and elegance of the Mexican bougainvillea. To truly capture the essence of these flowers, I immersed myself in studying their unique shapes, colors, and textures. Starting with quick sketches, I explored different stylized forms and arrangements, making the bougainvillea form a more abstract shape using standardized gem cuts, bringing to life the delicate elegance of bougainvillea in each design. From there, I used 3D modeling to transform these sketches into digital prototypes, refining every aspect to ensure the final designs remained true to the natural beauty of the flowers.
The design
As the lead designer, I oversaw the entire process, from the initial concept to the final production. My passion for nature and expertise in design came together to create a collection that embodied the essence of Mexican bougainvillea. Working closely with the Carranza & Carranza team, we ensured that every piece reflected our shared vision of elegance, quality, and unique style. The result was a jewelry collection that celebrates the timeless beauty of these flowers, capturing the vibrant, colorful spirit of Mexico and bringing it to life in a way that our customers can wear and cherish.
